STAAR MASTER® for Math
Our STAAR MASTER® product line for Math consists of several comprehensive work texts. This courseware carefully reflects the standards, level of difficulty, and test item specifications of the STAAR®. Each work text in this product line presents students with real-world scenarios to help improve their understanding and application of the standards so that they are prepared for the STAAR®. Starting with our early learners in Grades 1 and 2, our math work texts introduce young learners to key concepts and lay the foundation that will prepare them for the STAAR® in the future. Our math solutions continue with a comprehensive suite of work texts from Grades 3 to 8 and Algebra I.
Student Practice Book
PURPOSE: STAAR MASTER® Student Practice Books for Math are designed to provide high-quality targeted practice for the STAAR® in order to improve students’ knowledge and build test-taking confidence.
DESCRIPTION: STAAR MASTER® Student Practice Books for Math contain a large volume of items to provide students with repeated practice in a variety of mathematical and real-world contexts. The items are 100% aligned to the assessed TEKS and address all STAAR®-eligible standards. Organized by Reporting Category, each item is labeled for easy identification of the TEKS-based standard and mathematical process skill addressed.

Companion Work Text
PURPOSE: STAAR MASTER® Companion Work Texts for Math supplement and support instruction and both formal and informal assessments, moving students toward self-directed learning and problem solving. Students also learn the appropriate use of manipulatives, tools, and technology.
DESCRIPTION: STAAR MASTER® Companion Work Texts for Math are like abridged textbooks. They help students learn new concepts more quickly than traditional textbooks, or they can be used to provide additional explanations of concepts so that students do not have only one explanation (their textbook). They include open-ended and extended-response tasks that require students to use critical thinking skills to develop correct, complete answers. Activities follow a logical sequence of standards, organized by Reporting Category. All items and activities are 100% aligned to the assessed TEKS and address all STAAR®-eligible standards.

Quick Review
PURPOSE: STAAR MASTER® Quick Reviews for Math were designed to support multiple uses, including in the classroom, at home, in tutoring sessions, in summer school, and in remediation. Suggestions for how to implement Quick Review in each instance are included in the accompanying Teacher Guide.
DESCRIPTION: STAAR MASTER® Quick Reviews for Math use a practical, user-friendly layout designed to streamline use. The work texts provide daily and weekly exercises organized by Reporting Category. Items are 100% aligned to the assessed TEKS and address all STAAR®-eligible standards. A Lesson Plan and Correlation Chart are provided in the accompanying Teacher Guide.

Practice Tests
PURPOSE: Teachers can use STAAR MASTER® Practice Tests for Math to diagnose students’ strengths and weaknesses in order to target instruction. Practice Tests also familiarize students with the STAAR® format to reduce text anxiety.
DESCRIPTION: STAAR MASTER® Practice Tests for Math cover all STAAR®-eligible standards between Form A and Form B. Each Practice Test reflects the test structure and content outlined in the corresponding STAAR® blueprint to provide the most authentic practice possible.

Teacher Guides
PURPOSE: STAAR MASTER® Teacher Guides are comprehensive resources that provide critical information and strategies for preparing students for the STAAR®.
DESCRIPTION: STAAR MASTER® Teacher Guides include an overview of their corresponding student work text, a master skills list, strategies for test preparation and instruction, and a complete answer key with suggested responses for open-ended activities.
